Magno Angulo Loayza is a self-taught painter. He was born in Arequipa, one of the historic cities of Peru.

Characterized by the fusion of the indigenous and the hispano-european cultures. Three beautiful volcanoes guard the city, highlighted by the colonial architecture churches and old mansions made with the volcanic rock "sillar". Arequipa is also the home of the "Colca Canyon", one of the deepest in the world, inhabited by two ancestral tribes: The Collaguas and the Cabanas. Magno gets much inspiration from these cultures. Following the path of the great artists, his style is diverse, intense, and full of life!

Magno Angulo's paintings are in private collections around the world: USA, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Israel. One of Magno's paintings was purchased to be given as a gift to Pope John Paul II on his visit to Arequipa, Peru.

"La Lucila", is a great work of art, following the styles of European painters, such as "Diego Velasquez", "La Lucila" smiles at you with sweat tenderness and her charismatic smile. You end up loving her!

Magno is always well received in the communications media; newspapers like "El Pueblo", "Correo", "La Cronica". He received much attention for a highly controversial painting in honor of the journalists who died in Uchuraccay, Peru.

His paintings are continually exhibited in the "Far-Fetched" gallery in New South Wales in Australia,

The greatly respected historian and former director of the National Museum, Arturo Jimenez Borja, said: "The Art of Magno Angulo is made with the waters, earth and heavens of Peru. His love is so deep it burns bright in his work."
