Characterized by the fusion of the indigenous and the hispano-european cultures. Three beautiful volcanoes guard the city, highlighted by the colonial architecture churches and old mansions made with the volcanic rock "sillar". Arequipa is also the home of the "Colca Canyon", one of the deepest in the world, inhabited by two ancestral tribes: The Collaguas and the Cabanas. Magno gets much inspiration from these cultures. Magno Angulo's paintings are in private collections around the world: USA, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Israel. One of Magno's paintings was purchased to be given as a gift to Pope John Paul II on his visit to Arequipa, Peru.
