At an early age he learned the art of painting from his grandfather and father, who were renowned painters in Peru. Nino learned to paint at his father's studio and under the supervision of his grandfather, who transferred all his knowledge to his grandchild; techniques that Nino impregnates in his oleos, leaving a very distinctive mark on his paintings.
The realism of his strokes and the finesse of his style have earned him to be qualified as the artist in situ by corporate and private organizations in Peru such as the "Grand Logia del Peru" in Lima, Peru.
Bernardino (Nino) has painted portraits of very important politicians in Peru, some of these portraits are hanging in the corridors of the House of Congress in Lima, Peru.
One can see in Nino's paintings his expertise on tri-dimensional effects, a quality that can only be achieved by years of practice and experience. In his tri-dimensional effects Nino confronts a mixture, of flat elements, figurative and geometrics, against colored surfaces that works as agents of abstraction, going away completely from the conventional drawings to mastery in realism or abstract painting.
